The band is led by Peter Jens, a Chicago-born singer-songwriter and guitarist, alongside guitarist Ryo Typhoon, bassist Tsubo Typhoon, and drummer Ito "Big Hisa" Typhoon.

    A unique sound with global influences, Konnichiwa Typhoon blends elements of indie, slacker rock, and funk, creating a sound that fuses urban cool with garage rock energy. Their music channels influences from Western alternative rock while maintaining a distinct Tokyo edge. Since their formation, they have built a reputation through energetic live performances in local venues and a steady stream of online releases. The band has released several singles, including "New Age”, “Relax!”, “Pursuit of Perfection”, and “Odori” among others. In August 2023, Konnichiwa Typhoon performed at 7th Floor Shibuya as part of the More Tokyo Music event, delivering a high-energy set that captivated audiences, as usual.
